The newly crowned Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria, Unoaku Anyadike, has pledged to work with the Anambra State Governor, Chief Willie Obiano, to tackle the ecological problems facing communities in the state.
Miss Anyadike gave the indication on live television while answering questions on what she would do if she emerged winner as one of the five finalists in the MBGN 2015 pageant show. The finalists emerged after the initial shortlist of fifteen contestants from a total of thirty-seven contestants who took part in the event held in Calabar, Cross-River State.
According to Unoaku who contested as Miss Anambra, “I will partner with my Governor to find solution to the ecological problems and ensure that the impact and degradation it causes is minimised.” She said that she would raise the necessary awareness to alert Ndi Anambra on the dangers of erosion and what can be done to stem its menace in the state.
Unoaku Anyadike’s answer was applauded by the audience, who were apparently impressed by her determination to confront a major natural disaster affecting her home state.
Unoaku, born September 16, 1994, is from Anambra State and a final year student of Psychology from the University of Ibadan. As the MBGN 2015, she will represent Nigeria at the Miss World Pageant.
