The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Friday, October 9, 2015:

SOUTHERN STATES

Coastal Areas: Cloudy conditions are expected over the coast especially Lagos area in the morning, while prospect of localised thunderstorms are expected to prevail over the entire region in the afternoon/evening hours.

Inland Areas: Cloudy conditions are expected over the entire region in the morning, while Chances of localised thunderstorms are expected to prevail over the entire region in the afternoon/evening hours.

Central States: Localised rainfall is expected to affect areas like Lokoja, Bauchi, Abuja, Jos, Lafia, Ibi and Makurdi axis in the morning, while cloudy condition will prevail over the other parts of the central states in the morning. Localised thunderstorms are expected to affect the entire region in the afternoon/evening hours.

NORTHERN STATES: Thunderstorm conditions are expected to prevail over the North-East; while cloudy conditions are expected over the northwest in the morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are expected to affect the Northwest in the afternoon/evening hours.
