Thirty two ships are expected to arrive at Apapa and Tin-Can Island Ports in Lagos with foods, general cargo, petroleum products and other goods from October 5 to 22.
The Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA) stated this in its daily publication – ‘Shipping Position’ -made available to newsmen in Lagos on Monday.
According to the document, 11 of the expected ships will sail in with containers, while five others will arrive with general cargo.
It stated that frozen fish, buckwheat and bulk sugar would be brought by nine ships.
NPA noted that the remaining seven ships were expected to sail in with petrol, kerosene and base oil.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that 17 ships had arrived at the ports and waiting to berth.
It stated that 10 of the ships waiting to berth sailed in with petrol, while the remaining seven ships sailed in with rice, buckwheat and general cargo. (NAN)
