The Emir of Gummi in Zamfara State, Justice Lawal Hassan, has urged Nigerians to pray for President Muhammadu Buhari, to enable him succeed in his fight against corruption and terrorism in the country.
The emir, who made the called on Monday in Gummi in an interview with newsmen, said there was need for Nigerians, irrespective of religious and political differences to unite and pray for Buhari.
“As traditional rulers, it is one of our responsibilities to call for prayers and advice for our leaders so that they will be guided by the Almighty Allah to implement policies that would benefit our dear country.
“Through our prayers, support and cooperation as well as understanding, our leaders will be guided in their actions, to ensure true justice and fairness to all.”
The emir said that time had come as good Nigerians “to bury all our differences and and give universal support to President Buhari to achieve his good mission to reposition the country.”
He also called on elected leaders in the country to cooperate with Buhari's and support his policies aimed at ensuring good governance. (NAN)
