YABATECH expels students over exam malpractice

The authorities of the Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH), Lagos, on Friday said the institution had expelled four students over examination misconduct during the second semester of the 2013/2014 academic session.

This is contained in a circular dated June 18, and signed by the Deputy Registrar of the college, Mrs Titilayo Obadimu, in Lagos.

According to the circular, the academic board approved the expulsion of the students while considering the report of examination malpractice cases for second semester 2013/2014 full-time academic session.

It said that the four students were in HND 1 Business Administration (Full-time), ND II Mass Communication (Part-time), ND I Mass Communication (Full-time) and HND II Computer Science (Full-time).

Meanwhile, the Man O’ War, YABATECH Command also said it had dismissed one of its officers who was guilty of misconduct, gravely inimical to the good name of the club. (NAN)
