PDP wins 13 seats in Bayelsa Assembly polls, APC clinches 1

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has 13 out of 14 State House of Assembly election results so far released in Bayelsa.

In the summary of results signed by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Resident Electoral Commissioner in the State, Mr. Baritor Kpagih, the All Progressives Congress(APC) candidate, Israel Goli won in Brass Constituency.

Goli defeated the PDP candidate and incumbent Deputy Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Sam Ateki.

The PDP candidates won in the following constituencies: Abraham Ingobere,Brass Constituency 3, Ololo Ben ,Nembe Constituency 1,Ingo Iwowari Nembe Costituency 2, Obiene Iniyobiyo , Nembe Constituency 3.

Others are Mitema Obodor,Ogbia Constituency 1, Naomi Ogoli, Ogbia Constituency 2, Salo Adikumo, Sagbama C0nstituency 3, Monday Obolo, Southern Ijaw 2, Daniel Igali (Southern Ijaw 3 and the Speaker of the House, Konbowei Benson,Southern Ijaw 4.

The rest are, Parkinson Markmanuel, Yenagoa 1, Mrs. Ebiuwou Obiyai, Yenagoa 2 and Gentle Emelah Yenagoa 3.

There was however no election in Brass Constituency Two due to the insistence of some youths to see the Ward Collation results sheets before accreditation while the election in Ogbia Constituency Two was declared inconclusive.

Election into eight out of 24 constituencies in Bayelsa was rescheduled for one week by INEC due to shortage of Ballot papers.
