Intensive air strikes are ongoing in Sambisa forest, the Boko Haram stronghold in Borno State, North-East Nigeria.
Also being bombarded is Gwoza, one of the key communities in Borno State occupied by the terrorists.
A source told News Express: “Intensive air strikes ongoing in parts of Gwoza and Sambisa, preparing ground for the ground troops to move after. Rejoice with the Nigerian military.”
A formal statement is being awaited from the Nigerian Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
