Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, is wearing a new look, with logistics preparations in top gear in readiness for President Goodluck Jonathan’s presidential campaign rally in the state tomorrow.
Ahead of the event, the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC), Akwa Ibom State Council, have resolved to ensure that “workers in the state will come out in full force and attend the presidential rally” by the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
The resolution to this effect was unanimously reached at its 5th Akwa Ibom State Labour Summit held today in Uyo.
News Express reports that the campaign rally is scheduled to hold at the new Akwa Ibom State International Stadium (The Nest of Champions), Uyo by 2pm.
