Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Paul Ekpo, has charged Governor Godswill Akpabio to kick-start his 2015 political campaign and “ensure that you win the Ikot Ekpene Senatorial District for the PDP.”
Ekpo gave the charge while handing over the PDP flag to Akpabio as the party’s candidate for the senatorial seat of Ikot Ekpene District during next month’s general elections.
The other two senatorial candidates of Eket and Uyo, as well as House of Representatives and the State House of Assembly candidates equally received their flags during the flag-off of the campaigns last Friday at the Uyo Sports Stadium.
News Express reports that the highlight of the event was the kick-off of the 2015 governorship campaign rally of the party by its candidate, Mr. Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, with his running mate, Mr. Moses Ekpo.
