Late Hon Shuaib Adeosun
Tragedy struck on Wednesday when the chairmanship nominee for Ipokia Local Government Area of Ogun State, Hon. Shuaib Adeosun, died a few hours to his screening by the state House of Assembly.
Mulero, a former Senior Legislative Aide in the National Assembly, died in the early hours at his residence in Ipokia.
The incident has thrown his supporters and the entire town into mourning.
The deceased was among the 20 chairmanship nominees of the Local Government Transition Committees appointed by Governor Dapo Abiodun last week.
The state House of Assembly, which commenced the screening of the nominees on Tuesday, is expected to conclude the exercise today with the screening of the late Adeosun and some others.
New Telegraph learnt that the deceased had been sick for some time before he eventually passed on.
According to a family source, Adeosun has already prepared for a trip to Abeokuta in order to appear before the screening committee today but suddenly decided to take a short rest.
He never woke up from the sleep, the source said.
Our correspondent gathered that the late Adeosun is survived by his wife, Mulikat, and three children.
The deceased, a graduate of Mass Communication from the Ogun State Polytechnic, now Moshood Abiola Polytechnic (MAPOLY), Abeokuta, served as former Special Assistant and Senior Special Assistant to Ipokia Local Government Chairman, and was also a two-time supervisor in the local government.
