Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso of Kano State has said that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lacks the moral rectitude and will to openly campaign for President Goodluck Jonathan in the state.
Governor Kwankwaso also said that PDP members in the state are afraid of promoting their presidential candidate because he has failed Nigerians.
Rather, the governor said that the future of the country lies on the APC presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
The governor said this on Thursday when he hosted APC stakeholders from Dawakin Tofa Local Government Area of the state, who paid him a thank-you-visit over the emergence of their son, the state’s deputy governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, as APC gubernatorial flag bearer in the state.
He also described APC members who resort to the use of the media in discrediting their leaders as ‘unfaithful’, saying that they would not be considered as deserving of any political office in the party.
Kwankwaso equally berated party members who resort to lobbying their political godfathers for political appointments, describing them as ‘politically incompetent.’
The governor noted that the choice of Dr. Ganduje was purely on merit, coupled with his unwavering loyalty to the party and the Kwankwasiyya Movement.
