The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) Monday
announced dates for commencement of the 2020 Unified Tertiary Matriculations
Examination (UTME).
The JAMB registrar, Ishaq Oloyede, announced the date during a
stakeholders’ meeting in Abuja.
Oloyede said the UTME will commence between March 14 and April 14.
He also stated that an optional mock examination for candidates
would also take place on February 18, 2020. Registration for the exams will
start on January 13 and end on February 17.
The examination board had earlier announced that only candidates
with National Identity Number will be registered for the 2020 UTME.
“All candidates wishing to take the 2020 UTME must have the
National Identification Number (NIN),” JAMB tweeted on October 15th.
“The Board would ONLY register candidates with NIN.”
The board also stated that all payments should be made directly to
the board and warned against unauthorised financial transactions with its
staff. (The Guardian)
