Chiaghana was abducted

from a short drive to drop off his friend that visited him and taken to an

A tip-off on December

Agulu, Anaocha Local Government Area of the state.
According to a statement
by the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Haruna Mohammed, the
suspects were arrested after engaging the police in a gun duel.
He said: “Two other
suspects who escaped most likely with bullets wounds during the gun encounter
namely, Abuchi Ngala ‘m’ of Obehe village, Agulu and Izuchukwu Nweke ‘m’ of
Isiagu village are still on the run in order to evade arrest and were
subsequently declared wanted by the Police.”
Mohammed reeled out
exhibits recovered from the suspects to include, 1 Ak 47 rifle, 2 locally made
pistols, 20 rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, 8 life cartridges, 2 expended life
cartridges, 7 assorted phones, 1 Toyota Camry car used in committing the crime
and a laptop belonging to the victim.
He said that case is
under investigation after which suspects would be charged to court for
prosecution.
The Command called on
residents not to hesitate in giving useful information about the whereabouts of
the runaway suspects to the nearest Police Station/formations or call the
Police emergency number 07039194332 for prompt action.
