Immediate past Minister of Information, Mr Labaran Maku, has defected from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) for the February 2015 governorship election in Nasarawa State.
Maku and and three other contenders had lost the PDP governorship ticket to new entrant, Alhaji Yusuf Agabi, but the former minister alleged massive irregularities during the party primaries. Nothing came out of his petition over the conduct of the primaries.
A Channels TV report last night said sources at APGA headquarters in Abuja confirmed that Maku’s name was submitted before the December 26 deadline set by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
