Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Senator Teslim Folarin, has promised that his administration will make life better for the people if he is voted into power next February.

Folarin, who was speaking yesterday on ‘Crossfire, an MITV interview programme, declared that PDP has the strongest platform and is the only party people are interested in. He said that he has the recipe to secure the future for the people of the state.

Commenting on the achievements and the on-going development efforts of the administration of Governor Isiaka Ajimobi, he said: “The fact that Governor Ajimobi has done the right thing does not mean we, in PDP, should relent and sit back. We can do better, of course. That is why we have to be there.”

The PDP flag bearer criticised popular opinion that he was involved in the murder of Mr. Eleweomo, the former state chairman of the National Union Road Transport Workers (NURTW). “I laugh as I had never killed a chicken before. So, the story was actually framed up by those who want to paint me black,” he stated.

Speaking on the gubernatorial ambition of the Accord Party leader, Senator Rashidi Ladoja, he said: “Senator Ladoja is a father and still active, but has had his time not only for generational change, but to also step aside for Teslim Folarin.”

When asked about how he would carry on if elected as governor of the state, Teslim said: “I will stay connected with the people till the end. We need to create a structure for our youths to begin to think for themselves. For those who are creative enough, we will create opportunities and enabling environment for them to prosper in their different areas of skills.

“We want them to start thinking out of the box. We will create Small and Medium Enterprise Centers across the state to empower them on entrepreneurial trainings.”
