Nsukka youths under the aegis of Nsukka Youth for Good Governance have congratulated the first executive governor of old Enugu State, Dr. Okwesilieze Nwodo, on his victory in yesterday’s Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Enugu North Senatorial Primary Election.

Co-ordinator of the group, Dr. Ben Ugwu, told News Express that the victory of Nwodo, the first and second National Secretary of PDP, and also a one-time National Chairman of the party, was well deserved.

“We are happy with Nwodo’s victory during the primaries held at the Nsukka Civic Centre. Dr. Nwodo is the people’s choice and he will forever be as a result of his great love for the people and sacrifices on their behalf,” Dr. Ugwu said.

He expressed optimism that Dr. Nwodo would easily win the main election next year, declaring that he is the best suited to represent the senatorial zone in the upper chamber of the National Assembly.
