One of the winners of yesterday’s Edo State All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Assembly primaries, Barrister Henry Okhuarobo, has called for both winners and loser to join hands to ensure the party’s victory in next year’s elections.
Barrister Okhuarobo emerged emerged victorious after receiving more votes from the delegates who cast their votes in Ikpoba-Okha Constituency.
After his win was announced, Okhuarobo displayed maturity by refraining from joining in the heavy jubilation around him.
Between well measured smiles of acknowledgment of the intermittent shouts of praise from tens of supporters, he engaged in warm embraces with his fellow contestants who came to congratulate him.
Okhuarobo told News Express that the support and unity of all APC party members is important to secure victory in next year’s elections.
“It’s important we show respect to everyone who has contested today. We need the support of everyone to win next year,” he said.
The APC Ikpoba Okha Constituency candidate praised the conduct of the primary held at the Western Boys High School in the south of Benin City. The electional went smoothly in the state presently under APC’s control.
