Chairman, South West Mobilisation Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Prince Buruji Kashamu, has accused the national chairman of the party, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu, of trying to tamper with the Ogun PDP delegates list.
Kashamu, at a press briefing in Lagos, warned that any attempt to impose an unpopular governorship aspirant on Ogun PDP would lead to its defeat in the 2015 general elections.
“Our national chairman and the organising secretary are the ones who want to force a particular aspirant on the PDP in Ogun State, but we say no,” he said.
Meanwhile, concerned leaders under the aegis of the Stakeholders Forum of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), has accused Kashamu as agent of the opposition in the state.
In a release signed by Chief Wale Egunleti, Hon. Kayode Amusan, Chief Dele Ajayi, Hon.Micheal Fasinu, Hon. Nosiru Isiaka and Honourable Olu Fatoki, the leaders said that Kashamu’s action are capable of undermining the authorities and also fuelling crisis within the party.
The elders in the statement advised Kashamu to respect the constituted authorities, saying he should stop parading himself as bigger than the party.
