A suspected kidnapper believed to have taken part in the abduction of the member representing Zaria City Constituency in the Kaduna State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Dabo has been killed.

The suspected kidnapper was reported to have been killed during a gunfire exchange with the policemen on routine patrol of Kaduna-Zaria expressway in the early hours of today (Sunday).

Notwithstanding the fact that the Kaduna State Police Command had yet to comment officially on to the incident, a reliable but anonymous security source insisted that at least five suspected kidnappers including the kingpin were engaged and overpowered by the police while trying to block the major highway.

“About five suspected kidnappers were involved in the blocking of the road before their encounter with the police.

“One of them was killed in the process, while the other four escaped into the bush.”; the source witnessed. (Agency report)
