Embattled Speaker of the House of Representatives, Honourable Waziri Aminu Tambuwal, has declared that the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) cannot determine his fate as the Speaker of the lower parliament.

Tambuwal, who spoke to newsmen at the venue of the All Progressives Congress (APC) North-West Zonal Executive Meeting at Asaa Pyramid Hotel, Kaduna, said only God and members of the House of Reps can determine his fate.

The Speaker, who was at the meeting without his security details, was surrounded by party members and associates who were visibly happy to see him for the first time attending the APC meeting outside Sokoto and Abuja.

Speaking earlier, APC Vice National Chairman, North-West, Barrister Inuwa Abdulkadir, said the purpose of the meeting was to address topical issues that are of concern to the party in particular and the nation in general.

“Issues that would bring about national harmony and promote national development are what were here to discuss among others,” he said.

Abdulkadir noted that APC is waxing stronger by the day and that this is evident by the calibre of people joining the party, among them Hon. Tambuwal. He described this as a sign that the party is the only political platform that can bring about the change Nigerians desire.

Abdulkadir advised Nigerians to ensure they are armed with their voters cards, cast their votes and ensures their votes.
