APGA Leader Obiano and National Chairman Oye
The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) has accused the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) of allegedly planning to expel two prominent members of the party, Senator Victor Umeh and Chief Alex Otto, from the party.
It observed that some prominent Igbo leaders whom started their political journey with APGA have left the party citing ill treatments.
The group called on the current leadership of the party led by the duo of Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State and the National Chairman, Chief Victor Oye, to urgently take steps to revive the battered image of APGA which it noted was dragged to political mud during and after this year’s general elections.
In a statement by its Deputy Leader, Chief Ikechukwu Ekwe, MASSOB said: “It is very painful to note that many Igbo political elites which include, Chief Chekwas Okorie, Senator Ifeanyi Uba, Mr. Peter Obi, Iyom Bianca Ojukwu, Chief Emeka Ojukwu jnr, Martin Agbaso, etc left APGA, citing ill treatment.
“MASSOB as a stakeholder in the affairs of Ndigbo is not happy about this APGA degeneration. Our major concern in this political ill wind is borne out of the fact that the name of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu (Eze Igbo Gburugburu) was involved in APGA.”
MASSOB warned that every legacy that the name and person of Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu was genuinely involved in will never be allowed to be destroyed.
MASSOB advised the leadership of APGA and Governor Obiano to stop pretending that Ojukwu’s political dynasty is intact while both the outer walls and internal pillars are heavily cracking.
“APGA, as the political bride of Ndigbo was healthy and eighty percent intact when she was handed over to Chief Willie Obiano as APGA governor and Chief Victor Oye as the national chairman but today APGA is deteriorating with an infectious disease of pathological hatred, character assassination/blackmailing and selfish syndrome of group and self interest.
“Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu will never forgive those killing APGA with external collaborators because of their selfishness and personal ego.”
It condemned the internal crisis and loss of trust and confidence that is currently rocking APGA.
MASSOB further sued for internal harmony in APGA to enable a viable political environment for reconstruction of the battered image of APGA.
