Eunice Egbobamaye, an Edo State-based journalist, has been confirmed dead at the University of Benin Teaching Hospital (UBTCH), Benin the state capital.

The deceased journalist, whose beat of duty is not yet known, was seen in a video clip dancing with a few colleagues and college students at one Saint Maria Goretti Reunion Party where she slumped.

When her colleagues suspected that her situation was beyond mere fatigue, Egbobamaye was reported to have been immediately rushed to a nearby private hospital from where she was later referred to the Uniben Teaching Hospital where she was simply confirmed brought in dead (BID).

The preliminary medical report has linked her death to cardiac-related causes while other side comments are suspecting alcoholic effects. (Daily Independent)
