EFCC Acting Chairman Ibrahim Magu
Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Ibrahim Magu has challenged judicial officers to live above board and support the effort of fighting crime corruption in Nigeria.
He threw the challenge on Tuesday during the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) Annual Law Week held at Sir Ahmadu Bello Foundation, Kaduna.
The five-day conference had as theme, “Security challenges in Nigeria, Legal Perspectives and solution”.
Represented by the Zonal Head, Kaduna office of the commission, Mailafia Yakubu, the Acting Chairman emphasised the important role of the judiciary and the relationship shared as crucial in the fight against corruption.
He urged the Nigerian judiciary to partner with EFCC to ensure the nation becomes free of corruption.
In his speech, the Chairman Kaduna State Branch of NBA, Sule Shu’aibu, said that it is time for Nigerians to put an end to the security challenges facing the country.
He lamented that the killings, kidnapping, cattle rustling, armed robbery, banditry and others have affected every aspect of development, in addition to hurting all citizens.
