A 28-year-old youth corper, Victor Ohale, has allegedly stabbed his younger brother, Kelechi Ohale, to death for a yet-to-be ascertained reason.
The incident happened over the weekend at 8, Oraeri Street, GRA, Awka.
It was gathered that the youth corper who is law graduate, recently returned from his national service in Owerri, Imo State.
Reports have it that the suspect stabbed his younger brother with a knife in the head and he died on his way to the hospital.
Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Haruna Mohammed, a Superintendent of Police, said that both the suspect and his deceased sibling hail from Owerri, Imo but reside in the state.
“About 4am, police detectives attached to B’ Division Awka arrested one Victor Ohale, aged 28 years of No. 8 Oraeri Street GRA Agu Awka.
“The suspect who was a law graduate from the Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka, recently returned from the NYSC programme at Owerri in Imo State.
“Suspect allegedly used a knife and stabbed his younger brother, Kelechi Ohale, aged 19 years of the same address but hails from Emekuku in Owerri North LGA of Imo State in the head.
“Scene was visited by Police detectives and victim rushed to the hospital where he was certified dead on arrival at Amaku Teaching Hospital Awka, by the medical doctor and the corpse deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy.”
