The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Thursday, May 23, 2019:
NORTHERN STATES: Thunderstorm is likely over Katsina and Gusau while the other parts are likely to be in partly cloudy to cloudy conditions during the morning hours. Later in the day, partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected to prevail except Nguru, Kano, Katsina, Maiduguri and Zaria where thunderstorms are likely. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 36 – 39℃and 24 – 27℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Morning thunderstorms are expected over Abuja, Kaduna, Jos and Lafia axis while the rest of the region is expected to be in partly cloudy to cloudy condition. Further into the day, thunderstorms are likely over Jos, Kaduna, Abuja, Ilorin, Mambilla Plateau and Niger axis. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 36℃and 21 – 24℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are likely over this region with prospect of thunderstorms over Benin, Warri and Yenegoa axis in the morning. Later in the day, thunderstorms are expected to prevail over this region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 34℃and 21 – 24℃respectively.
