The National Organising Secretary of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha, has decried growing attacks on President Goodluck Jonathan, attributing them to impatience.
Speaking with newsmen today in Kaduna, Mustapha said: “You will agree with me that we have to be patient. What is wrong with human beings generally – not only Nigerians – is impatience.”
He scored the administration of Jonathan as having done marvelously, saying: “We need to support and cooperate with our leaders so that enabling environment will be available for development to take place.”
According to the PDP chief, what is required now more than anything is peace and security, adding that “once you have these variables, then nothing stops us from going where we want to be.”
Mustapha appealed to all Nigerians to give peace a chance so that the yearnings and aspirations of all Nigerians could be met.
He insisted that the Jonathan administration has been performing “because you can see how our roads, power sector, aviation, railways and so on are being attended to.”
Mustapha added: “If you are an honest Nigerian and a good human being, this government requires encouragement and it must be celebrated because it is doing well.”
He commended the new Kaduna Governor, Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, and appealed to the people to support and cooperate with him to enable him take the state to greater heights.
In another development, the newly appointed Deputy Governor of Kaduna State, Ambassador Nuhu Bajoga, has assured that the state government would carry the youths of the state along in its activities.
Bajoga in his new year message to the people of Kaduna State solicited their support and cooperation in order to bring about positive development in the state.
He appealed to the traditional rulers and chiefs in the state to rally round the present administration so as to have lasting peace and unity in the state.
