Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Thursday, May 8, 2019:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy condition are likely over the northern states throughout the forecast period with chances of thunderstorms over Sokoto, Yelwa, Gusau, Zaria and Katsina axis in the morning hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 35 – 41℃and 23 – 29℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Thunderstorm activities are to prevail over Abuja, Lafia, Minna, Makurdi, Bauchi, Ilorin and Lokoja axis in the morning hours. As the day progresses, thunderstorm are expected over Jalingo, Ibi and Mambila plateau with the other parts remaining in partly cloudy to cloudy conditions. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 39℃and 21 – 29℃respectively.
SOUTHERN STATES: Thunderstorm activities are envisaged over the region in the morning hours. Later in the day, cloudy conditions are expected over the entire region. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 31 – 35℃and 20 – 26℃respectively.
