Ailing Nollywood legend Lari Williams
A charity organisation, Purple Ribbon, is calling for donations from Nigerians to help restore medically unfit patients who have found themselves in such positions because of cash flow problems. The organisation believes that such pool of funds by people will help saves lives that would have been lost due to insufficient funds to undergo medical treatment.
According to Purple Ribbon, many Nigerians have lost their lives or suffered untold debility due to their inability to pay medical bills.
It said in a statement made available to News Express on Monday: “At Purple Ribbon, our vision is to use crowd funding to help most in need of medical assistance. In a world where we can be anything, it is best to lend a hand.”
The statement explained that Purple Ribbon through its N1,000 Initiative campaign is seeking your donation to help the following listed Nollywood actors:
A. LARI WILLIAMS: He’s currently in need of a house as well as medical support for on-going depression.
B. JUDE OTEKA: He currently needs to undergo medical treatment for his bad leg.
C. FRANCIS ROMEO: Currently needs to undergo medical treatment for eyes
E.TUNDE AlABI: Requires further medical treatment and on-going support after his leg was amputated.
D. PATIENCE OSENI: She needs urgent medical treatment for stroke
E. JOSEPH CHUKWUDI OKONGWU: Needs urgent eye surgery
