The management of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH), Ogbomoso, has said that it’s ‘No Fees, No Exam’ policy was informed by the refusal of students to pay approved tuition fees, a total of which is running into several billions of naira.
The institution’s management, in a statement issued on Friday in response to a National Association of Nigerian Students (NANs) leadership appeal on the need to reverse the policy, said that while it sympathised with the category of students who might be affected by the decision was justified.
It said: “It may interest the students’ body under its chairman, Mr Olujuwon Asubiojo, that the handlers of the university have been so compassionate, a situation that has allowed the students owe accumulated bills in the first place. (Independent)
