As race for the 2015 governorship election gains moment in Oyo State, an aspirant, Engr. Femi Babalola, popularly known as Jogor, has picked the ‘interest form’ at the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP Secretariat, in Ibadan, the state capital.

He enthused: “I am here to represent the interest of the people, and not my interest, in becoming the governor of the state. I appreciate the people who believe in me and those who have, in one time or the other, supported me so far. I also appreciate my well-wishers; ranging from the pepper sellers, meat sellers and ordinary citizens of Oyo State who believe I have what it takes to make positive change in this state.’

He further appreciated the efforts of those whose financial contributions made it possible for him to purchase the form.

Hon. Kehinde Salau, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the PDP in the state, while handing over the form to Babalola, noted: “Oyo State PDP, for now, has no anointed candidate. Anyone is free to come and pick up the form if interested in any position.”

On his part, the Financial Secretary of the party, Alhaja Kehinde Salau, lauded Babalola’s effort in picking up the form adding: “He is the first governorship aspirant to do so.”
