Buhari and Atiku
President Muhammadu Buhari of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has won .. more states as the collation of last Saturday’s presidential election continues in Abuja, the country’s capital.
Buhari, who earlier was declared winner of Ekiti and Osun states, added Kwara and Nasarawa to the list.
In Kwara, he beat his main challenger, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar of the main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), with 308,984 votes as against 138,184 votes by the latter.
In Nasarawa, the margin of victory was quite narrow, with Buhari getting 289,903 votes and Atiku 283,847 votes.
However, it has not been all losses for Atiku, as he claimed his first victory in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) with 259,997 votes as against Buhari’s 152,224 votes.
