ADC Presidential candidate Atiku
By VICTOR NWACHUKWU
The Atiku Community Mobilisation Team South-East says it is fully prepared to secure all the votes cast for its Presidential Candidate in the 2027 General Elections, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar.
Mr Omega Odunze, the Special Adviser to the ADC Presidential Candidate on Community Mobilisation in the South-East, said this at a workshop organised by the South-East Polling Unit Soldiers of ADC, on Friday, in Owerri.
Odunze said that the group, a grassroots support movement for ADC and Abubakar, had been fully mobilised and currently undergoing training.
He said that the group remained committed to free, fair elections, where votes will count and voters not suppressed.
He also said that the polling unit soldiers, upon completion of their training, would be deployed to represent the party in their respective units on election days.
He expressed the confidence that with Abubakar’s antecedent as a pillar of national unity, and his youth-friendly manifesto, the party would emerge victorious at the presidential and other elections.
“Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has promised to review fuel subsidy removal with a view to easing its burden on Nigerians, and crashing food and production costs.
“When elected, he has promised to revamp the economy by re-opening seaports in the south-south and land borders in the north, while tackling insecurity through holistic job creation.
“We will introduce economic reforms that attract both local and foreign investments that will directly tackle poverty and unemployment, and create jobs for Nigeria’s teeming youths,” Odunze said.
He said that the party remained committed to a peaceful process and urged the ruling-All Progressives Congress to create the enabling environment for a violence-free exercise.
According to him, Abubakar’s wealth of knowledge and experience would be brought to bear in the discharge of his duties, hence the need for Nigerians to rally support for his presidential ambition.
“This is not just about ambition, it is about experience, preparation and a deep understanding of Nigeria’s challenges and potential,” Odunze said. (NAN)
