A former Minister of Sports and Special Duties, Professor Taoheed Adedoja, in Oyo State, has declared his intention to vie for the gubernatorial position next year under the umbrella of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Disclosing this in Ibadan, the state capital, Professor Adedoja stressed that he decided to wait on God’s leading before making his declaration.
He said: “I had earlier indicated that my formal entry into the governorship race will be made at God’s own time. And now, this is actually the time because the PDP is on the road to its victory in the 2015 elections in Oyo State.”
Prof. Adedoja promised that if voted into office, he would utilise his past record of performance and long years of experience in the public service to ensure people-oriented governance in the state.
