The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Sunday, February 17, 2019:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze condition with visibility range of 2 – 5km and localised visibility of less than 1,000m is expected over the region during the forecast period except over Dutse, Katsina, Nguru, Potiskum, and Kano where thick dust haze conditions are probable. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 27 – 30℃ and 11 – 17℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Dust haze condition with visibility range of 1-3km and localised visibility of less than 1,000m are anticipated over the region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 28 – 36℃ and 16 – 22℃ respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: Dust haze with visibility range of 1 – 3km and localised visibility of less than 1,000m is expected over the Inland cities during the forecast period. However, Early morning mist and fog are expected over the Coastal Cities. Later in the day, dust haze condition with visibility range of 1 – 3km and localised visibility of less than 1,000m are expected over the entire Coastal Cities. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 35℃ and 19 – 24℃ respectively.
