Tragedy this morning struck in the Rivers State capital Port Harcourt following the sudden death of the Chairman of Port Harcourt Local Government Area (PHALGA), Hon. Charles Paul Ejekwu.
“He died after attending a political meeting that lasted till this morning,” a reliable source in Port Harcourt told News Express. “He slumped and died shortly thereafter,” the source added.
News Express learnt that Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi is crestfallen by the sudden death of Hon. Ejekwu.
A source close to the governor said: “Everyone is mourning. The death has put on hold all activities in the Government House.”
