A new Commissioner of Police has been posted to Delta State. He is Mr. Adeyinka Adeleke Bode, who is taking over from Mr Anthony Ogbizi Michael. The former state police boss was recently redeployed to the Force Headquarters sequel to his elevation to the rank of a Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG).
Mr Adeyinka was born on the May 13, 1965 and enlisted into the Force as an ASP Cadet on the March 3, 1990. He holds various degrees in diverse disciplines including B.A (Ed), LLB and MBA.
He had served in various formations and Commands, until his recent posting to the Delta State Command. He was the Force Quarter Master, Force Headquarters Abuja.
Mr Adeleke who is married with three children, loves sports, reading and travelling. He has attended various courses both locally and internationally. During the handing-over ceremony, the new Police Commissioner promised to build on the existing security mechanism on ground towards enthroning the reign of peace and security in Delta State. He advised members of the public to always cooperate with the Police and other security agencies at all times by availing them with vital and necessary information that could help nip every crime in the bud.
In his handing over remarks, the outgoing DIG Ogbizi Michael thanked the State Government and the people of Delta State for their cooperation with him and urged them to extend the same cooperation to his successor.
