The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Saturday, February 9, 2019:

NORTHERN STATES: Dust haze condition with visibility range of 2 – 5km and localised visibility of less than or equal to 1,000m is expected over the region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 28 – 34℃ and 10 – 18℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Dust haze condition with visibility range of 2 – 5km and localised of less than or equal to 1,000m is anticipated over the region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 36℃ and 13 – 23℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy skies are expected over the inland cities in the morning hours with sunny and hazy conditions in the afternoon/evening period. Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are likely over the coastal cities in the morning hours except for Yenagoa axis where localised thunderstorms are envisage. Later in the day, thunderstorms are anticipated over Yenagoa, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Uyo, and Eket axis. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 36℃ and 19 – 25℃ respectively.
