A helicopter conveying Vice President Yemi Osinbajo crash-landed in Kogi State on February 2, 201
The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have reacted to the helicopter crash involving Vice President Yemi Osinbajo in Kogi State.
With 13 days to the general elections, both parties put aside their political differences to rejoice with the Vice President and the crew members who came out of the crashed chopper unhurt.
The Nigerian Air Force helicopter conveying Professor Osinbajo had crash-landed at the Kabba Township Stadium earlier on Saturday.
The incident was said to have occurred when the propeller of the chopper suddenly pulled out at the stadium.
In a series of tweets hours later, the APC thanked God the Vice President was safe and sound along with his aides.
It also prayed for continuous safety of its leaders as well as the progress of the nation and its people.
The PDP, on its part, rejoice with Professor Osinbajo in a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan.
The main opposition party also called for a thorough investigation into the incident, stressing that the safety of the people and their leaders must always be guaranteed.
