The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Saturday, February 2, 2019:

NORTHERN STATES: Sunny and dry conditions are anticipated over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 37℃ and 13 – 15℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to sunny conditions are likely over this region throughout the forecast period, except over Mabilla Plateau that has prospects of localised thunderstorms in the morning hours; later in the day, localised thundery activities are likely over Lokoja, Makurdi and Lafia axis. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 37℃ and 15 – 24℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy condition is likely in the morning hours over the southern cities with chances of localised thunderstorms over Calabar and Eket axis. Later in the day, localised thunderstorms are to prevail over the Owerri and the entire Coastal cities. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 37℃ and 22 – 26℃ respectively.
