The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about Nigeria’s weather condition for today, Thursday, January 31, 2019:

NORTHERN STATES: Sunny and hazy conditions are anticipated over this region throughout the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 31 – 35℃ and 14 – 18℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to sunny conditions are likely over this region with slim chances of localised thunderstorms in the morning over Ilorin, Abuja, Minna and Bida. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 37℃ and 15 – 24℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy condition is expected over this region with chances of localised thunderstorms over Ondo, Oshogbo, Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, Calabar and Port Harcourt in the morning hours. In the afternoon/evening period, localised thunderstorms are likely over Lagos, Akure, Ado-Ekiti, Enugu, Umuahia, Awka and coastal axis. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 38℃ and 20 – 28℃ respectively.
