Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Imohimi Edgal yesterday alleged that unscrupulous politicians in the state are sewing police and military uniforms for civilians to infiltrate the state.

Edgal made the disclosure at the 2019 Lagos Chamber of Commerce Industry (LCCI) ‘Security meets Business’ Dialogue Session yesterday.

According to the police boss, “I have received intelligence report that some unscrupulous politicians are sewing police uniforms and military to infiltrate the state.” He therefore warned those perpetrating the act to desist to avoid being nabbed. He said, “They should not try it. We are working on that and if they try it, they will face stiff resistance and those caught would be made to face the full weight of the law,”

He further stressed that the police would continue to partner security agencies in the state to reduce crime rate and strengthen the security in Lagos State especially during the 2019 Presidential election.
