ADP dismisses purported collapse of Imo State chapter into another party

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has debunked the rumour in circulation that its Imo Satte chapter has dissolved its structures to work with another political party.

The party insisted that it has not authorised any chapter, individual, or group of persons to act on its behalf by entering into an alliance with other parties, saying that “the Action Democratic Party remains indivisible and is working vigorously to ensure victory at the polls come 2019.”

ADP made the clarification in a statement issued on Saturday in Abuja, signed by Hon. Pam Ibrahim, Director of Media and Publicity of the YY Sani Presidential Campaign Organization.

The party distanced itself from the claim of defection led by Theophilus Ezeala, whom it described as a former State Chairman of the party in Imo State.

It therefore called on all its members, especially in Imo State, as well as the general public “to disregard this false information as it is aimed at distracting the party by mischief makers.”

“The ADP remains focused, united and committed in our resolve to emerge victorious come 2019,” the party added.
