The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Okitipupa Branch, has appointed eminent lawyer and human rights activist, Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, as its patron. This is contained in a letter dated December 14, 2018, jointly signed by Mr Omololu Bagbe, the Chairman and Mr Experience Ojubulu, the Secretary. Adegboruwa is an indigene of the oil-rich Ilaje Local Government area of Ondo State and practices frequently in Okitipupa and other courts in the state.

The letter states that Adegboruwa was chosen because of the “collective realisation for the need to have a strong and highly resourceful backbone for the branch”.

“We are therefore gratified and pleased to present our humble request that you may consider accepting the position of a patron of our branch.”

The investiture ceremony will take place during the Annual Law Week of the branch on February 1, 2019.

It will be recalled that Adegboruwa was recently appointed chairman of the Justice Sector Programme Commission of the African Bar Association.
