Over 50 members of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) have reportedly defected to the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ile Ife.
It was learnt that this occured on Wednesday ahead ofthe 2019 elections.
The defectorssaid they were fascinated by President Muhammadu Buhari’s achievements.
They were led by Hon. Emmanuel Oadoye and Hon. Jimoh Tosin, who is one of the elders statesman of the party.
APC Ife Central Secretary, Hon. Francis Olufemi, confirmed the defection.
