The missing General's car
More suspects have reported themselves to the police in connection with the disappearance of Major General Idris Alkali (retd). Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr Tyopev Mathias, confirmed this to Channels Television in an interview on Friday.
According to him, three other suspects – Timothy Chuwang, Mathew Chuwang, and Stephen Chuwang, reported to the police in the afternoon. The Command’s spokesman said some of the suspects came alongside with their lawyers.
The District Head of Dura Du Village in Jos South Local Government Area of Plateau State, Yakubu Rapp, had earlier reported himself to the police the day after he and the three were declared wanted along with four others.
The suspects were declared wanted following preliminary investigations which indicated that they masterminded the abduction, assault and caused the disappearance of Alkali, a former Chief of Administration at the Army Headquarters, who has been missing since September 3, 2018.
He went missing while travelling to Bauchi State from Abuja via Jos in a black Toyota Corolla.
Meanwhile, the Nigerian Army has discovered a shallow grave during its search of Alkali.
