The Police Command in Enugu State has arrested one Emmanuel Ogbu over alleged killing of his kinsman, Chukwuma Nwankwo.

The command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Ebere Amaraizu, in a statement, said the duo hail from Imeama Ugbawka Nkanu East Local Government Area of the state and now helping the police in their investigations in relation to the alleged shooting.

According to Amaraizu, the unfortunate incident took place on October 14, 2018, when a yet to be established quarrel ensued between the duo.

It was further gathered that following the quarrel, a fight broke out between two of them and at a point, the deceased reportedly had a chance and escaped from the grip of the suspect and ran to his house but the suspect later laid hand on a gun and allegedly pursued him into the deceased parlour where he allegedly shot the victim.

Meanwhile, full-scale investigations into the incident have commenced just as the single barrel gun has been recovered together with one expended cartridge, while the corpse of the deceased is now deposited at General Hospital Agbani Nkanu West LGA of the state for autopsy.
