Confusion in Adamawa over alleged plan by APC NWC to deny Bindow guber ticket

Governor Bindow

Speculations are rife in Yola, Adamawa as the All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to deny the gubernatorial ticket to Governor Sen. Mohammed Umaru Jibrilla over a petition filed by Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and Dr. Mahmood Halilu Ahmed on the conduct of the Adamawa gubernatorial primaries which a committee headed by Jibrin Alfa okayed Bindow to run as the winner.

`Following the two petitions filed by the other contestants, Modi and Nuhu Ribadu, the National Working Committee of the party had sent a fact-finding mission to Yola to find out what happened during the primaries.

The fact-finding mission committee members were in Yola and it reportedly discovered that elections didn’t hold in all the 226 wards of Adamawa State.

Some of those who opposed Bindow included Engr BD Lawal, Admiral Murtal Nyako, Engr Markus Gundiri, Sen Abubakar Halilu Girei, Bello Tukur, Alh. Sadiq Mohammed Kalu, Sen. Ahmed Abubakar, Dr. Mahmood Halilu Ahmed, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu and a host of others who signed a petition to the APC NWC.
