Thunderstorms
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted morning thunderstorm over Sokoto, Kebbi, Gusau and environs for Sunday.
NiMet made this known in its Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Saturday.
It said that the thunderstorms would be expected over most parts of the northern region later in the day.
The agency said that day and night temperature in the region would be in the ranges of 27 – 32 degree Celsius and 20 – 24 degree Celsius respectively.
NiMet predicted thunderstorms over Minna, Bida, Bauchi, Gombe, Plateau and Yola axis in the morning hours.
According to it, thunderstorms and rains are expected to affect most part of the central cities during the afternoon and evening hours.
It said that day and night temperature in the region would be in the range of 27 – 31 degree Celsius and 20 – 22 degree Celsius respectively.
The agency predicted morning rains over the southeast and its coastal cities, while the south-west would be mostly cloudy.
It envisaged that rains over the southwestern and southeastern states, including their coastal areas during the afternoon and evening hours.
NiMet said that day and night temperature in the southern states would be in the range of 28- 30 degree Celsius and 21 – 24 degree Celsius respectively. (NAN)
