Rain
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted morning thunderstorms and rains over Katsina, Kano, Dutse, Nguru and Zaria, with cloudy condition in other parts of the northern region on Tuesday.
NiMet made this known in its Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Monday.
It predicted chances of thunderstorms and rain over the North Western axis and cloudy skies over the North Eastern axis during the afternoon and evening hours.
The agency added that day and night temperature would be in the ranges of 29 to 30 degrees Celsius and 21 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
NiMet envisaged chances of moderate rains over Ibi, Abuja, Mambilla plateau, Jos and Jalingo during the morning hours.
It predicted isolated thunderstorms and rain over Abuja, Lafia, Makurdi, and Lokoja axis during the afternoon and evening hours.
The agency said that day and night temperature in the central region would be in the range of 27 to 31 degrees Celsius and 21 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively, except for Jos where the temperature would be between 25 and 16 degrees Celsius.
NiMet predicted cloudy skies with chances of light rains over Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Uyo, Calabar and Eket axis in the morning hours.
It added that light to moderate rains would be expected over the Southern region during the afternoon and evening hours.
The agency said that day and night temperature in the region would be in the range of 28 to 30 degrees Celsius and 21 to 23 degrees Celsius respectively. (NAN)
