The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Thursday, July 5 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy skies are to prevail over the northwestern axis with prospects of thunderstorms over the northeast axis in the morning hours while localized thunderstorm are expected over the entire region in the afternoon/evening hours. Night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 30 - 34oC and 21 - 24oC respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over this region with prospects of early morning rains showers over Abuja, Lafia, and Lokoja and Makurdi axis. Localized thunderstorms are to prevail over Abuja, Lokoja, Lafia,

Makurdi, Yola, Gombe, Bauchi, Mambilla Plateau, Kaduna, Jos and Zaria axis

during the afternoon/ evening period. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 24 - 3 oC and 21 - 24oC respectively.

SOUTHERN STATES: Moderate rains are expected over this region in the morning except for south-west inland where cloudy conditions are to prevail. There are prospects of thunderstorms over Enugu, Owerri, Awka, Abakaliki, Umuahia, Akure, Ibadan, Oshogbo, Ado – Ekiti, Shaki, and Iseyin axis with moderate rains over Calabar, Eket, Uyo, Port-Harcourt and their environs in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 - 31oC and 19 - 23oC respectively.
